Acquiring visibility through the silver colored wrap and inflatable roof, this interim water polo arena is again an exquisite venue for the London Olympics 2012. It is located in the south-east direction of the Olympic Park. It is first of its kind water polo arena which has been built for the Olympics. It is distinguishable because it is the venue which will be dedicated only for the water polo events.

The architectural design implemented is such that gives a complete view to the spectators during the progress of the event without any hindrance. Sustainability is an important factor which was reckoned during the design phase; in this regard the seating arrangements are done in such a way that once the events get over the material used can be recycled.

Similarly, the silver skin of the arena is also made from environmentally friendly element. The view of the arena is very aesthetic and provides soothing touch to the on lookers. It will also invigorate the aspirations and the passion of the participating athletes to a great extent and thus promises some thrilling action during the event.

The construction of the venue began in 2011 and was completed in May 2012. After the events this interim venue will be removed or may be located elsewhere.
