Hyde Park

Hyde Park is the largest of all the Royal Parks of London, the capital city of the UK. It is open for the public since 1637. The park is home to a large number of basic grassroots sports clubs that include Serpentine Swimming Club and it regularly hosts various major sporting events. It has also host the London stage of the annual ITU World Triathlon Series in the past.

The Marathon Swimming 10km and the Swimming element of the Triathlon will be happening in the very famous Serpentine Lake of the Hyde Park during the 2012 London Olympic Games.

The course for the swimming was made in the Hyde Park and the temporary seats are installed in there for the 2012 London Triathlon.

Efforts were being made by the 2012 London Olympic Games authorities to minimize the effects of the sporting events of the games on the park and the regular visitors of the place. Special care is taken to make the event most successful and bring the best out of the competitors by giving a beautiful inspiration.
